Sudoku is perhaps the most popular puzzle game on the market right now. I'd venture to guess it is one of the most popular non-TV distractions around (e-puzzles are available online - no doubt some readers just finished around). Now American publishers are encouraging Kaji to develop "the next Sudoku." And, he seems to be well on his way to unleashing a new puzzle on the world.
I'd prefer if he kept his puzzles to himself. Frankly, I consider Sudoku a blight on society. At the very least it embodies our quintessential impersonal-ness. Nobody tries to solve Sudoku puzzles in pairs or groups - it's a game for one.For Details
