Sudoku India's latest craze

          NEW DELHI: If you thought India was only a cricket-crazy country, then you might want to think again. The strong turnout at the regional round of the National Sudoku Championships — organised by Quixy and presented by The Times of India in association with the World Puzzle Federation — on Sunday proved that Sudoku has caught up with the other most popular sport in India.
          As many as 10,000 entries were received after the championships were announced a month ago in The Times of India. Almost 5,000 entries bore correct answers but keeping in mind the format of the World Puzzle Federation, only 1,200 players could be invited for Sunday's round. The competition began at 9 am.
